JOGMEC Seminar for Sustainable Development of the Mining Sector of Namibia at Windhoek Country Club Resort on February 23, 2017
JOGMEC will hold the “Seminar for Sustainable Development of the Mining Sector of Namibia” by cooperation with Ministry of Mines and Energy of Namibia and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan at Windhoek Country Club Resort on February 23 (Thursday), 2017.
Both public and private sector of Namibia and Japan will participate in the Seminar. Ministry of Mines and Energy and Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Namibia will provide updated information about their policies and current activities in Namibia.
Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan will provide information on Japanese policies for sustainable development of mineral resources in Africa. JOGMEC will explain its projects including the cooperative project with Geological Survey of Namibia and Japanese technologies and know-how on mine pollution prevention. Furthermore, Namibia private sector will provide their policies and activities updated.
We will also invite the representative speakers of Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industries in South Africa (CCIJ) and Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) followed by their networking with all participants.
We believe that information sharing, exchanging views and networking between public and private sector of Namibia and Japan in the Seminar will contribute to sustainable development of the mining sector of Namibia and strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
